Tamil Department Mission 22 May-4 June 2008
by Rev. Simon Sandra
The Missions Team from the Tamil Congregation consisting of Pas. Simon Sandra, Sis. Susan, Sis. Sabrina, Sis. Gunawaty, Sis.Vanajah and Sis. Shamala, were in India from 22 May – 4 June 2008. During the two-week trip, they were able to minister at GTA Poonampalayam and GTA Omanthur.
After one and a half year, the church at GTA Poonampalayam had grown. We saw many new faces – they testified on how God had miraculously saved them from idolatry and are now baptized.

On the Sunday that we were at GTA Omanthur, there were 65 people attending the service (40 adults and 25 children). Pas. Peter Kaliaperumal reported that the ministry is doing well and new souls are being added to the kingdom. However, the ministry is very challenging for him there as Omanthur is a place full of witchcraft. He needs a lot of prayer. Pray for victory over the work of the evil one and pray also for the members to be faithful as many of them are unable to attend services.
