Chinese Department Mission Trip
Serendah AOG 19 July 2008
by Bro. Lim Bun Leong
A missions team from the Chinese congregation went to Serendah AOG on 19 July 2008 to bless and minister to the members and community of Serendah.
The majority of the 8, 000 residents in Serendah are Chinese. Temples are aplenty and most of the adults are involved in temple activities. This is the kind of background that Pastor Fion works with and she covets our prayers.
The hands of God can be seen in His provision of a place of worship at the current location. This three-storey shop house is owned by Pastor Fion’s father who is not a believer yet. He operates a coffee shop, Yi Ji Coffee Shop, on the ground floor while donating the first and second floor to the church to conduct her services.
Our team ministered at the Children Church, Youth and Worship Meetings. We sang, shared our testimonies, prayed and led worship at these meetings. We performed skits and introduced activities to emphasize to the children that each and every one of them was special in the eyes of God.

Pas. Bun Leong preached at the worship service from Luke 19:1-10.about how Zacchaeus, the tax collector experienced God’s love. When he gave the altar call – four people accepted Christ – two adults and two children. Praise the Lord!
