Pastor Gideon Lee
Pastor Gideon grew up in an Assemblies of God Church in Klang. After his secondary studies, he went to work in the secular field with his last posting as Advertising Director of Reader’s Digest Malaysia. Prior to that he was also the Asst. General Manager – Advertising & Marketing of The Edge – a business & investment weekly newspaper. With vast experience in the corporate world especially having spent more than 10 years in the print media industry, Gideon felt the call of God upon his life to full-time ministry early in his life.
In 2001, he answered God’s call by enrolling in Bible College of Malaysia for theological studies where he graduated with a Diploma in Theology in 2004. He is currently pursuing his Degree at BCM.
Pastor Gideon is Youth Pastor in Glad Tidings Assembly, Klang. The Youth Alive! ministry reaches around 130 youths each week. He ministers and preaches in both the Main Worship Service and the Youth Concurrent Service each month. Recently he also started the Young Adults Ministry (YAM) that meets twice a month.
Because he is is very much involved in both the local and national level of the Royal Rangers ministry, you will most often hear people calling him Commander Gideon. The Royal Rangers ministry is an Assemblies of God children/youth uniformed ministry aimed at reaching, teaching, and keeping children ages 5-18 years for Christ.
His passion is in raising the next generation of leaders with a strong anointing and conviction to preach the Word and minister in the power of the Holy Spirit. Besides his work in Glad Tidings Assembly, He also sits on the committe of the Assemblies of God Youth Department- Youth Alive Malaysia.
His other passion is for Missions and he sits as the Country Corodinator – Cambodia in our church’s Mission Committee. Each year he goes on several short-term mission trips to Cambodia, Sarawak & Thailand, usually accompanied by some of his youth and young adults.
He is married to his lovely wife Serena and they are blessed with three lovely children – Elisa (8yrs); Elena (5yrs) and Josiah (2yr).
