Rev. Vinvin Tan

Rev. Vinvin is our Children Ministry pastor. She has a passion to raise up the next generation with strong and vibrant faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Master of their lives.  She looks forward to the next generation growing to be more like Jesus and also able to teach like Him, our Master Teacher.

Rev. Vinvin overseas 100-120 volunteers to minister to about 200 children each week in our Sunday School and Children Church. She shares her passion for children ministry by conducting teachers’ training both locally and on the mission field.  She is also a Zone Pastor for the Cell Group Network.

In 1975,  Rev. Vinvin accepted Christ in Glad Tidings Assembly, Klang. She began to attend Glad Tidings Assembly regularly in 1979 and one year later responded to the need for Sunday School teachers. She was also involved in many other ministries in the church over the next ten years; Music, Evangelism, Hospital Visitation, Prayer & Intercession, Missions, and Youth.

In 1989, she received a call to full-time ministry and resigned from her secular job at University of Malaya and enrolled in Bible College of Malaysia. She graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Religious Education in 1993.

She began serving fulltime in Glad Tidings Assembly, Klang in December 1993.  She served in Follow-up, Literature, Sunday School and Children Church until she was appointed as Children Pastor in 2001.

In 2004, Rev. Vinvin took up an internship at Metro Ministries in New York, USA for four months. This Sunday School ministers to about 14,000 children weekly and was founded by Pastor Bill Wilson. Ministering with interns from all over the wolrd and also fulltime staff of Metro Ministries was very refreshing. That experience served to further shape her vision of  ”Building people of character through Christ-centered relationship.”

If you have not had the opportunity to meet Rev. Vinvin, please make an opportunity to talk to her and catch her vision for the children in our midst.
