Rev. Tony Phang
Rev. Tony and Rev. Christine Phang are both graduates from Bible College of Malaysia and ordained ministers of the Assemblies of God of Malaysia.
They both served as missionaries in Kenya for over 16 years with the Kenya Assemblies of God. They pioneered a layman Bible School and the River of God (KAG) church in Nairobi, Kenya. They also co-founded an orphanage and school for street children and underprivileged children. Over 800 children are being helped in this centre today. Their last assignment in Kenya was at the Pan Africa Christian University, where Rev. Tony served as the Spiritual Formations Director and were involved in mentoring Pastors and students as well as their families, from various African nations. They have also ministered to many congregations in Kenya and beyond with a passion for revival.
Rev. Tony assumed the position of Senior Pastor of GT Klang in July 2009 while Rev. Christine is an Honorary Pastor and is actively involved in the ladies ministry and general pastoral care of the congregation. Rev. Christine continues to be involved in ministries they have pioneered in Africa.
They are the proud parents of two lovely teenage daughters, Kathryn and Victoria, both born and raised in Kenya.
Rev. Tony is an avid football fan while Rev. Christine enjoys scouting around town for a cup of good coffee!
